Not much...

to tell about our Utah trip...
Anaïs' appt with her neurosurgeon went well. He just said to come back in 6 months to monitor her sleep apnea and make sure that she doesn't start having spinal compression issues again.
We go back in a week and a half (yes, AGAIN!!) because she has an appt with an ENT to talk about ear tubes and taking her adenoids out. I suspect that she has an ear infection again... she has been kind of fussy lately and doesn't sleep as well, I will probably take her to her pediatrician tomorrow.
Anyway, that's pretty much it.

That's it!!!

I want to live by the beach!!!! LOL

We went to California this weekend and I didn't want to leave!!! I love going there, Jeff's mom has a really nice condo there and I just love the area, it is just beautiful! We had a really fun and busy week end! We were lucky because the weather was absolutely beautiful! On the first day, we decided to go to the beach. We went to Crystal Cove, in Newport Beach. We went to Trader Joe's and bought food to have a little picnic on the beach...it just doesn't get any better than that!
Sam was so excited. Her new thing is to say "I'm dancing the Cha-Cha because I'm so excited!" LOL!! This is her dancing the Cha-Cha!!! I swear it is IMPOSSIBLE to be bored around her, she is just too funny!
Anaïs loved hanging out on the towel, she was really good!

After the beach, we went back to the condo to shower and rest a little.
Jeff's sisters went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago and bought a 3 day pass but only used it for 2 days so she gave us 3 tickets for Disneyland. We were not planning on going there, but how could we not???? Free Disneyland tickets? You just don't turn that down. It was so nice of them to do that!!
So we didn't tell Sam and just told her that we had a surprise for her and that we were going to spend the evening at a very special place. Needless to say that when she saw we were going to Disneyland she was SO excited!!!! We were there from around 6:00PM to 10:00PM. It was great!

Anaïs' first ride was Roger Rabbit...it was a little rougher than we remembered! LOL
But she enjoyed it!
Sam and I went on the spinning tea cups, I was so dizzy after I hard a hard time walking for 10 minutes!
After, we even got to see the fireworks. It was such a fun night!
Then, on Saturday we went to the LPA BBQ. We had a wonderful time! We feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful and welcoming group! Since our chapter here in Vegas is just getting started, we have been trying to attend events in CA since we have a place to stay there. Everybody there has been so nice to us!! We have met amazing people! I want to say a special thank you to Mike who always makes sure to include us in all the events!
The kids had a great time too! Sam played non stop and we barely saw her throughout the day.

On our last day, we just could not go home without going to the beach one last time. We went to Laguna Beach...so beautiful!

What a fun weekend...can't wait to do it again!!!!

Our Easter week end

A couple days ago, the girls and I went to a friend's house for a little Easter egg hunt. Sam had a lot of fun while Anaïs enjoyed looking at all the kids running around.

Last night, we went out with some of our friends to celebrate a friend's birthday. We went to dinner at a brazilian steakhouse and then we headed to Martini's, a local bar, for some drinks. Jeff and I hadn't gone out in a while so it felt really nice to get a babysitter and get out a bit.

This morning, when we got up we saw that the Easter Bunny had left some surprises in the backyard for Sam and Anaïs!! ;)

Anaïs got a cute little bunny. She loves stuffed animals.
Sam loved looking for eggs that were hidden all over the backyard. I can't wait for next year so Anaïs can be a little more involved in the whole process.

Sam got a chocolate bunny, a new plate with a matching cup and some Hello Kitty underwear...and TONS of candy hidden in all those eggs.

Later in the day, Sam did some painting while Anaïs took her nap. She loves doing any kind of artwork and never gets tired of it!

Then, the weather was so nice today that we decided to go to the pool. It was the first time this year! The water was pretty cold though so we decided it was probably better to keep Anaïs out of the water.

That's it...that was our week-end.
We leave for California on Thursday. We are planning on going to the beach on Friday and to a LPA BBQ on Saturday, it should be a fun week-end!

Let's go for a ride!

Yesterday we stayed home but we still managed to have some fun. Sam and I decided it would be fun to put Anaïs in the wagon I use to store all her rattles.
This picture is so funny, it looks like Anaïs is thinking "what the hell are you doing?" LOL!
Then the girls had some fun playing...

and even fought over toys! LOL
Yep, true sisters! ;)

Back from the LPA regional!

WOW...what a great week-end!
First of all, I want to say how thankful I am that we can be a part of LPA, it is such a wonderful organization for our children. They are very lucky to be growing up nowadays versus 50 years ago.
Throughout the week-end, we have met so many wonderful people! So many inspiring people!
I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to meet such great people that I would have probably never met if I didn't have Anaïs.
We went to some very interesting meetings, including parents meeting, where people shared their experiences, joys and struggles. It was amazing to be able to listen to other parents and feel like you understand each other 100%. It makes you feel like you are not alone and that is probably one of the greatest feelings!
We also had the opportunity to take Anaïs to a medical consultation with Dr Bernstein (orthopedics) and Dr Danielpour (neurosurgeon) from Cedars-Sinai Hospital. She got a clean bill of health and said she looked great. They looked at the MRI from before her spinal decompression surgery and said that she REALLY needed the surgery. They asked who her neurosurgeon was and when we said Dr Walker from Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City they could not stop telling us how amazing Dr Walker is!!! I feel very lucky to have Anaïs followed by such talented physicians.
During all this, Sam was in the kids room and had so much fun and made so may new friends! In the afternoon, there was a fun Easter egg hunt organized in the hotel for all the kids.

Then on Saturday night, we went to the banquet. We had dinner and then there was lots of dancing. Sam danced the night away! LOL
Anaïs made a few friends of her own that night!

We had a wonderful time and can't wait for the national convention in New-York!!!!!!!

VIP treatment!

This afternoon, I decided to give myself a pedicure. When Sam saw me she seemed pretty interested so I asked her if she wanted to do it with me. She loved it!
First, we soaked our feet in warm water, Sam thought it felt so good that she soaked hers until the water started to become cold.
Then, we applied a foot scrub to get rid of all the dead skin. She seemed fascinated about dead skin and was like "Anaïs and I don't have a lot!" LOL. Yeah...give it about 20 years...

Then...what's a pedicure without a foot massage? We applied a relaxing foot lotion and gave ourselves a little massage.
Yep...she looks pretty relaxed doesn't she?
The last step is of course, nail polish.
Here are the results of our hard work. :)
On a different note, we drive to California tomorrow to attend the LPA regional. We are looking forward to seeing some of you LP families!
