I like the fact that this place (Nevada Ballet Academy) is serious and pretty formal. The parents are only allowed to watch the class once a month. So we waited out in the hallway which allowed me to meet some really nice moms. :)
I could only take pictures right before class started.
Here is the teacher, Miss Monica going over dress code guidelines.
She demonstrated the proper way to fold the socks on Sam, she was pretty proud about that.
I am so happy that Sam enjoyed it, she can't wait for next Tuesday!

Ahhh, it brings me back to my ballet days. That's one of the reasons I REALLY want a daughter.... dance classes! Sam looks so cute on her ballet clothes. I'm so glad she likes it. When's the first recital?

Hi Alex - it's Rachel's mom. Thanks for sharing the pictures - it seems like yesterday that Rachel started dancing. Rachel went to a formal school like that once. The hardest part for me was getting her hair in the bun that was required! I miss those days, but not sewing all the costumes! I think we are still picking sequins out of the carpet!
Oh so cute! I remember doing this when I was young! My daughter Zoe has taken a very formal class and a very relaxed class with Akela both of which were great! Little girls just love to dance! I hope she loves it more and more each class!
She looks so pretty in her ballerina shoes and her hair pulled back.. Way to go sam can't wait to see more pictures..

Wow! What a wonderful academy. It's great that they take the art so seriously. Sam looked positively radiant as a prima ballerina! Cannot wait to hear more about her lessons!
She is such a pretty ballerina. Andrea did ballet camp for 1 week this summer and loved it. Classes here start October 8th.
