When I was pregnant with Anaïs, Katie was the very first person I talked to about raising a child with achondroplasia. She was so nice to me and kept on telling me that things would turn out ok and that I would make it through this, I will never forget that! So Katie, thank you for helping me get through the toughest time of my life!
We met them for lunch at Rainforest Cafe because we had to do a kid friendly place since we had both Sam and Anaïs with us.
We had such a great time!! I swear I could totally see us hanging out all the time if we lived closer!! It's always nice to meet other parents of kids with dwarfism because you instantly have a connection, but it wasn't just that...I feel like I would totally get along with Katie even if we didn't have that in common!
Can't wait to see them again!
After lunch, we had to stop and look at the lions since we were at the MGM hotel...
It was a great day!

What cute pictures! Katie does seem really nice. Do you know she's from the Inland Empire right near where we live? Maybe she'll be in town for one of our events over here and we'll all get to hang out. Anyway, I'm glad you guys got to meet. What a special thing!

I'm so glad that you had a great time meeting Katie today! Of course we knew you would! It's wonderful being able to meet and share with other parents of LP's. We have such a strong "family" between us all, it means so much to me! Looking forward to the day we get to meet! Any thoughts about coming to Sacramento in October for the Fall Regional? Hope so!

It seems you had a lot of fun together with Katie! I will have a similar opportunity as we are meeting a family with a little girl with achondroplasia who was born a week after Ami! They all come to visit us the holiday weekend. I can't wait! I will post pictures and report :-) Love, Kasia and Ami
I had a BLAST meeting your family!! I totally felt like we could have hung out forever and just chatted!! It's always nice having a common interest which means that we will hopefully be in each other's lives forever with our kiddos!! Thanks for making the time to get together with us! We both really enjoyed meeting your family! I know we will see each other again soon and hopefully with Cole in tow!
