Goodbye Shadow...

Today, we had to say goodbye to Shadow. I feel so bad because Jeff is currently out of town and Shadow is his dog. He started getting really sick about 48 hours ago. He was almost 18 years old! He had a happy long life.
Jeff was a teenager when his parents got him Shadow. I know that many times during his challenging teenage years he felt that Shadow was his only true partner and friend. He loved Shadow very much and will miss him!
Sam also LOVED Shadow...she was sad today but she is a very brave little girl, she understands that Shadow was sick and old and he is now sleeping up in the stars with Nikita (our old dog) and my dad. These pictures were taken in March 2007.

Today Sam made two cards, one for Nikita and one for Shadow... I guess it was her way of saying goodbye.

Goodbye from all of us Shadow, you will be missed.

this picture was taken about a year ago at a local park during a playdate...WOW Sam still had a baby face back then!! Time sure goes by fast.

Perfecto!!!

Last night my girlfriends and I had an AMAZING time!!! We went to Perfecto, Paul Oakenfold at the Rain nightclub in the Palms. Anyone out there who is into techno music knows Oakenflod, the guy is a legend!

Push up time!

Anaïs has been doing a great job at rolling over and lifting her upper body with her arms! She sees her physical therapist tomorrow and I hope she will show off her new skills for her! Of course, every time I want to take a picture of Anaïs Sam wants to be in the picture with her sister. :)

I LOVE having her out of the helmet, it feels like I am getting my baby back! Now I can cuddle with her and actually feel her skin. I also think it is much easier for her to move without it.

First teeth!!

Well, the picture speaks for it self...even though it's kind of hard to see on the picture. :) Anaïs has been teething for weeks and her first teeth are finally out! My baby is growing up!

All set for New-York!

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we are good to go for the LPA convention in NYC!! We just booked our flights and I am so excited!!! This will be my first time in NYC and I can't wait!
Also, I am happy that my mom will be joining us. She has been so involved in Anaïs' life even though she lives so far.
Anyway, I am looking forward to attending the convention and hope we will get to see some of you guys there!

Sisters forever

This picture was taken about a month ago by Trent and Megan, Jeff's brother and sister. They did such a good job.
I think it really captures the bond that Sam and Anaïs share. Sam always wants to protect and love her little sister. I KNOW she will always look after Anaïs. These two have an amazing bond!

I hope 2009 will bring joy and happiness to everyone.

2008 was such an intense year for me...LOTS of ups and downs. What a roller coaster ride it has been! I thought my pregnancy would forever stay what I'll remember from 2008 with all the hard times I went through...but you know what, now I just remember the birth of my incredibly beautiful baby girl Anaïs. I am so thankful to have her be a part of our family, she brought us even closer than we were before!
When I think back on 2008, I do remember some not so fun times, but I became a stronger and better person by getting through them.

For me, 2008 has 3 highlights and here they are:

Jeff: my incredible husband and best friend. He is the love of my life and I am so lucky to have him. So many people spend a lifetime hoping to get even a moment of the kind of love we have for each other and I never take that for granted! With him by my side I feel like there is nothing I can't do. He is ALWAYS there for me, no matter what I need and he makes me feel like I am the queen of his world. I love him so much.


Samantha: My first born princess...I still can't believe how fast she's growing up!! I love this girl so much it hurts!! She is such a smart little girl and amazes me everyday. She has such a good heart and ALWAYS thinks of others, I am so proud of her for that!

Anaïs: my baby girl! She is my hero! Seriously, how can such a young baby have taught me so much already? I have become such a better person thanks to her. What strikes me the most about her is how happy she is ALL THE TIME! She brings so much joy to our lives! I love her in such a special way and I feel so lucky to be her mom.
